Meghalaya Trip Packages 6 Days Itinerary 

Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong & The Grand Canyons

Upon arrival at Guwahati airport or railway station, you’ll be greeted by our representative for a scenic drive to Shillong, the “Scotland of the East.” Our first stop is the ancient Maa Kamakhya Temple for a spiritual start to the journey. We’ll then pause at the serene Umiam Lake, also known as Bara Pani, before continuing to the breathtaking Laitlum Grand Canyons. Famous for its stunning panoramic views, Laitlum is a visual treat and a popular spot for filmmakers. Afterward, we’ll check into our guesthouse in Shillong for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 2: The Waterfalls of Amlarem & Dawki

After breakfast, we head to the mesmerizing waterfalls of Amlarem. Prepare to be enchanted by Krangsuri Falls, where you can swim in its clear turquoise waters. Next, we’ll visit the stunning Phe Phe Falls, a hidden gem often considered one of India’s most beautiful waterfalls. In the evening, we’ll visit the Indo-Bangladesh border near Dawki before settling in for our overnight stay.

Day 3: Shnongpdeng, Mawlynnong & Cherrapunjee

Start your day with a magical boat ride on the Umngot River in Shnongpdeng, renowned for its crystal-clear water. You can also try activities like kayaking or zip-lining if you’re feeling adventurous. We then drive to Mawlynnong, celebrated as Asia’s cleanest village. A short trek will lead us to a magnificent Single Living Root Bridge and the fascinating Balancing Rock. Before heading to Cherrapunjee, we’ll stop to admire the views at Mawkdok Valley viewpoint. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Day 4: The Wonders of Cherrapunjee

Today is all about exploring the natural wonders of Cherrapunjee, one of the wettest places on Earth. We’ll visit the majestic Noh Ka Likai Falls, the iconic Seven Sisters Falls, and the unique Wei Saw Dong Falls. We’ll also venture into the mysterious Mawsmai Cave and Arwah Cave to witness their incredible limestone formations. The day also includes visits to Dainthlen Falls and the tranquil Lyngksiar Falls. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Day 5: Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek

An early start today for the most memorable part of the trip! We’ll drive to Tyrna village and embark on a challenging but rewarding trek down 3,700 steps to reach Nongriat village. Here, you will witness the architectural marvel of the Double Decker Living Root Bridge. If time and energy permit, we can continue the trek to the magical Rainbow Falls. After the trek, we’ll drive back to Shillong, where you can explore the bustling Police Bazaar and experience the vibrant nightlife of this “Rock Capital” of India. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 6: Shillong Sightseeing & Departure

After breakfast, we’ll explore some of Shillong’s local attractions. Our visits include the picturesque Elephant Falls, the serene Wards Lake, the charming Cathedral Church, and Lady Hydari Park. You’ll have time for some last-minute souvenir shopping at Police Bazaar. Finally, we’ll drive back to Guwahati for your departure, bringing an incredible journey to a memorable close.
