Yes, it is suitable for first-timers who are reasonably fit and open to offbeat experiences. However, it involves long drives, some trekking, and basic facilities in remote areas. It is not a relaxed luxury tour.
2. How physically demanding is this 12-day Offbeat Meghalaya and Kaziranga trip?
This trip is moderately demanding. It includes trekking down 3,700 steps to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, walking inside caves, and some off-road sections. It is not recommended for people with serious knee, back, or breathing issues.
3. What is the best time to do this Offbeat Meghalaya and Kaziranga tour?
October to April is the best time. The weather is pleasant, and most offbeat places (especially Wari Chora and caves) are accessible. Monsoon (June to September) makes some roads slippery and risky.
4. Is Wari Chora safe to visit?
Wari Chora is generally safe when visited with a local guide and proper 4×4 vehicle. However, the off-road section and boating require caution. We only take guests there with experienced local support.
5. How much trekking is involved in this package?
The main trekking is the Double Decker Living Root Bridge (3,700 steps down and up). Other days involve short walks and cave exploration. The trek is optional but highly recommended.
6. What is included in this Offbeat Meghalaya and Kaziranga Tour Package?
It includes transportation, accommodation, 11 breakfasts, all permits, 4×4 for Wari Chora, guides for caves and root bridge, and entry fees for most places mentioned in the itinerary.
8. Can senior citizens do this 12-day Offbeat Meghalaya and Kaziranga trip?
It is quite challenging for most senior citizens due to long drives, trekking, and basic facilities. Only very fit seniors should consider it. We can customize a slower version if needed.
9. Is this package good for families with kids?
It can be done with older kids (above 10–12 years) who are active. However, very young children may find the long drives and trekking tiring.

12. Can vegetarian, Jain, or Halal food be arranged?
Yes. Please inform us in advance about your dietary requirements. We will try our best to arrange suitable meals throughout the trip.
13. Is mobile network available during the entire trip?
Network is good in Shillong and major towns but very weak or unavailable in remote areas like Wari Chora, Siju, and parts of the route. You should be prepared for limited connectivity.

Yes, some days involve long drives (especially Day 3, Day 9, and Day 10). Even though we drive comfortably, you should be prepared for long hours on the road on certain days.
18. Is the Kaziranga safari included in the package?
No, the elephant and jeep safari charges at Kaziranga are not included. You will have to pay directly at the park.
20. What kind of stays are provided in this package?
We provide a mix of hotels, homestays, and campsites. In remote areas like Siju and Wari Chora, the stays are basic but clean. In Shillong and Cherrapunjee, we offer better options in both Standard and Deluxe categories.
